Hello, My name is Sam, and Duke is my soon to be tri pawd dog. I got my Boston terrier Doberman mix when he was only 6 weeks old. This little dog was the light of my life. I moved him across Washington state with me and he’s adapted to every situation I’ve put him through. But now it’s time for me to adapt to his situation. I found out about 2 weeks ago he has soft tissue grade 1 Sarcoma. When I first found the bump on his front leg my head went to the worst. This is cancer, his leg will have to be amputated, his life will never be the same. Everyone assured me it wasn’t that. I got confirmation today that it was exactly that. Tomorrow at 10 am duke’s leg will be removed and I will have a 3 legged dog. He has never had health issues. He has never gotten sick. He had fleas once. But that was it. How could my perfectly happy, healthy, 9 year old baby boy get cancer?! Well he did…and this is the beginning of his new life.
